How Rahunko reads and checks a document

Rahunko separates reading the source, organising financial fields and checking the result. This gives you a way to see what came from the page and what still needs a decision.

Read the documentation

011. Keep the original

Your PDF or photo stays alongside the extracted data. Select a field to find the passage it came from and compare the two.

  • Digital PDFs can use their embedded text.
  • Scans and photos are read from the visible page.
  • Image orientation is corrected before the page is reviewed.

022. Extract only what the page supports

Labels and table structure help identify dates, descriptions, amounts, currencies and totals. Money checks use exact values, while unclear dates and currencies stay unresolved.

  • Debit, credit and balance roles must be clear.
  • Tax and total checks run only when their inputs are present.
  • An unfamiliar layout becomes a review question instead of a made-up row.

033. Review before export

Processing can finish with a missing field, uncertain text or conflicting total. You can correct the record against the original, then export the revision you reviewed.

  • Similar rows remain separate.
  • Open questions stay visible until resolved.
  • A processed record is different from a reviewed record.

Examples use fictional documents so you can see the review flow before you upload your own.
